Domaine Acer
1145, du Vieux Moulin
Auclair G0L 1A0 T

The maple winery is owned by Vallier Robert and Nathalie Decaigny

Founded in 1972 by Charles-Aimé Robert, the Domaine Acer then specialized in the production of high-quality maple syrup. Located in  Auclair in the Témiscouata region of Quebec , east of Quebec City ear the New Brunswich and Maine borders

In 1992, wishing to take over the family sugar bush but aware that the future is processing his son Robert Vallier, is undertaking the development of high value-added products. For 5 years, with the help of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and a scientific officer, he worked on the design of alcoholic beverages from the vinification of maple sap. In his approach, he made several internships with French winemakers.

In 1997, after obtaining the first artisanal license to produce alcoholic drinks based on maple sap, Vallier Robert and Nathalie Decaigny, his partner, launched their first four acers! Since then, they have been building the ACER universe and participating in the recognition of maple as one of the great products of the world. Several DISTINCTIONS testify.

In 2017 they won 2 Platinum awards at the WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada

Domaine l'Espiègle

Dunham Quebec

Located between Dunham and Frelighsburg and overlooking Lake Selby, the hillside estate has been a prized fruit growing site for over a century. Our slope is South-Eastern facing and varies between 5 and 15%, which naturally favours the early morning sun and downflow of cold air, protecting us from spring frosts.

The vineyard soil is composed of glacial sediment deposited and organised during the melting of the continental ice sheet over 10 000 year ago. The flow of water and time has sorted this sediment according to altitude and topography. At 250 meters we have a predominantly sandy loam whereas at 200 meters, our vines have a bit of clay to dig their roots into. Our soil structure is such that it drains quite well, and our vines never have wet feet.

Their philosophy: if the grapes are good, the wine is good. That's why they put a lot of effort into the field! In the cellar, they promote the most natural expression of the grape. In addition, the founders believe that a company cannot neglect its ecological footprint.

Vignoble Petit Chariot Rouge

Little Red Wagon

c-165 Cahumet Road West
Shawville, Quebec

A small vineyard, situated about an hour west of Ottawa/Gatineau in scenic West Quebec. Owned by Jennifer Dale and Scott Judd, who live on the site in a historical fruit farm from the 40's, where today heritage blackberries and grapes still grow.   After visiting some Quebec & Ontario Wineries years ago, we were intrigued by the variety and quality of products available, and dreamed of growing this farm into something special and unique.  We've added raspberries and table grapes fresh for picking, and over 5600 grapevines which we now turn into wine each autumn. The first grapes were planted in 2010 on former fallow land belonging to our present day diary farm

Jennifer and Scott make their wine with assistance from Zach Hall at R&J Onenology and OneoQuebec

Their wines are simple, well balanced reflecting the character of the region and Quebec's cold climate varieties.
The Vineyards surround the tasting room. They have over 5600 vines which include all of the Frontenac family, Louise Swenson, Marquette and Petit Perle Production around 200 cases.

The tasting room includes a small event space and art gallery with ample acreage to unwind in a rural setting.

We are a friendly, approachable family farm and love to meet new people, our wine and vineyard is a work in process, ever-evolving to suit our customers.

The name and logo comes fom a memory of their youngest as he pulled his wagon through the vineyard during its planting. The red wagon came to symbolize the dream of being a small, fun place to share with family and many new friends.
