There is a new winery in British Columbia that has come with a Bang. Solvero wines , Summerland is producing some very high quality wines. Following a conversation in 2012 over a glass of exceptional cool-climate Pinot Noir, our family( Bob and Andrea Sartor) began the pursuit of the perfect vineyard site to reflect our vision and the potential for this extraordinary grape in the Okanagan. After an extensive search, a rare opportunity presented itself in the form of a previously undiscovered 25 acre property in Garnet Valley, Summerland.
They planted in 2016 five vineyard blocks and seven clones of Pinot Noir. Followed by Chardonnay in 2017. The vineyard steeply sloped terrain is made up of glacial soils with varying degrees of sand, gravel, rock and loam. Pure in composition, balanced in farming.\Bob and Andrea's son Matt is President and Vineyard Manager. Matt grew up in Calgary and initially pursued a passion for music. After many years of experience and attending University for Piano, Matt later shifted his career path from the art of music to the art of wine.

Matt moved to the Okanagan in 2010 with his (now) wife Cassandra to explore the possibility further. After completing the Viticulture program at Okanagan College and helping to establish and farm several vineyard properties in Summerland, Matt started the search for the perfect site to grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
That search led him to Garnet Valley and the Wildhorse Road property that he and his family call home. The property was purchased in 2014 and with a great deal of fortitude, the steep and undulating terrain was cleared and prepped for planting over the next couple of years.
