Located along Kelowna's Lake Shore Rd just past St Hubertus. Anthony von Mandl assembled a team of experts from around the world to design his new winery A six-level gravity winery, carved and hidden within the steep Landscape. The Stunning six-level gravity-flow winery was designed by Seattle architect Thomas Kundig, with some interior features designed by Barcelona architect Antonio Puig. The winery has been constructed over the last three years just north and slightly uphill from CedarCreek Estate Winery in East Kelowna. Both wineries are owned by Anthony von Mandl, the proprietor of Mission Hill Family Estate. Kundig is one of his favourite architects: he designed the redevelopment of Mission Hill a few decades ago.
The winery is designed to produce between 12,000 and 15,000 cases annually, focused just on Riesling and Pinot Noir.
He hired new Zealander Shann Nunn as his winemaker Shan has worked in Burgund and Barlo. Shann is a strong believer in biodynamic in wine production. The winery is equipped for extremely detail-oriented winemaking. The stainless steel fermenter, literal works of art, are from an Italian producer recommended by Antinori. “They are the Ferraris of wine tanks,” Shane says. The winery also has concrete fermenter.
Kurt Simcic is the Viticultrist. Kurt, also from New Zealand, has been developing and farming vineyards for decades. For the last 10 years, all of his work has been with organic properties.
Winemaker: Shane Munn
Philosophy: I like to wander the three tiny estate vineyards every morning to get to know and check on the individual blocs. Kurt and I will often do this together. I take a micro view of the vineyard and think about wines right down to the single block or vine. I consider my winemaking approach gentle and guiding. We use gravity alone, and five simple movements in our 6-level winery. Our wines are tended, harvested and crafted by hand. We don't interfere. We don't use a single pump. We believe this brings out elegant and complex expressions of Pinot Noir and Riesling. ~ Shane Munn

Mirabel Vineyards
3740 Hart Road
Kelowna, BC
Doug and Dawn Reimer moved in 2005 from West Vancouver to a property in Kelowna to build their dream home. Now, they also operate their dream winery, Mirabel Vineyards.
They engaged two masters of wine, Rhys Pender and James Cluer, to advise them.
The Reimer Family Vineyard was planted in 2006 on a steep hill with both southwesterly and northwesterly aspects. Grapes were planted at an elevation of 930 feet, up to 1220 at the top. Careful soil analysis revealed a complex mixture of calcium carbonate, alluvial sediments, and a silt loam sits overtop a gravel loam. Six acres (84 rows) were planted to three sustainably-grown Dijon clones: 115, 667 and 777, blended together for optimum colour, flavour, acidity, tannin and length. The yield is cropped at 2.5 tons per acre and harvested by hand. 1.5 acres of Chardonnay will be planted in 2017
Doug and Dawn are originally from Winnipeg. His father, Donald, started Reimer Express Lines in 1952 with one truck.
The first wines released are made by Matt Dumayne at Okanagan Crush Pad
Not open to public.

The owners are Rob and Abby Westbury . The name is based on
Nagging Doubts are the thoughts we all have - sitting in the backs of our minds, goading us on. Yet, the daily grind always seems to take precedence. Even so, those thoughts persist. Starting this winery has been our Nagging Doubt…a dream we have had for years that has finally come to fruition
Rob Westbury is a local Vancouver businessman with a long standing interest in wines. The seed was planted to pursue a career in wine and winemaking after a long term assignment in San Francisco 7 years ago. After completing several levels of sommelier training at night, Rob, along with wife Abbey, decided to take the plunge and start a winery, using a custom crush model to build skills and a brand.
Nagging Doubt's inaugural vintage was in 2010 with only 136 cases, which expanded to 500 cases in 2011. The winery hopes to increase case production to 2000 cases within 3 vintages.
grapes are sourced from four areas: Naramata, Black Sage Bench, East Bench Osoyoos and Anarchist Mountain
winery's direction (future goals) :We intend to concentrate production on four wines: 2 reds, 2 whites, expand from 500 to 2000 cases annually and build a facility and tasting room in South Kelowna by mid 2013. Our focus is on producing small lot, artisanal wine. We believe in keeping prices low, minimal intervention in the winery (no chemistry-set winemaking) and always producing wines that pair well with foods. Our wines are typically old world in style .
signature wines:The Pull – a merlot dominant red blend
Winemaker: Mark Simpson, Rob Westbury
Philosophy: Affordable, terrior-driven wines that are hand crafted with minimal intervention, and that must pair well with food . We pride ourselves on being a true, hands-on, small lot producer of artisanal wines

Scorched Earth Winery, established in 2003 as a cherished Family (Pazdernick) Estate Winery. Anita is the General Manager and Sales Director of Scorched Earth Winery, has played an instrumental role in the growth and development of the winery, contributing her expertise to both business management and vineyard maintenance throughout the years.
Peter, the steward of Scorched Earth Winery, assumes the roles of owner, winemaker, and grower.
The name comes from the Damaged caused by Wild Fires in 2023. The soil was really lacking in nutrients so with 40 dump truck loads of organic compost, the vineyard has been converted to organic and replanted with 4 blocks of Pinot Noir French clones."We honour the environment around us to ensure we never forget what a wild summer it was in 2003."
Anita and Peter have converted their garage into a wine cellar for Scorched Earth Winery. They have invested in one of the few German-made grape de-stemmers specifically design for Pinot Noir. This delivers 95% whole grape clusters for fermentation. Scorched Earth uses only French Oak barrels to age all their wines

Sperling Vineyards
1405 Pioneer Road
Kelowna, BC V1W 4M6
|
|
May 2023 Anthony Von Mandl purchased the winery.
This winery was launched by the Sperling family, whose
Casorso ancestors, Charles Casorso, planted Kelowna’s first vineyard in 1925 and were
among the original investors in what is now Calona Vineyards .Giovanni Casorso came from Italy in 1883 to
work at Father Pandosy’s mission before succeeding on his own (he
was once the Okanagan’s largest tobacco grower). His sons planted
several vineyards. Formerly known as Pioneer Ranch, the 18.2-hectare
(45-acre) Sperling Vineyards was planted initially in 1931 with grapes
and apples by Louis and Pete Casorso. When Pete retired in 1960,
Bert Sperling, his son-in-law, switched the entire property to vines,
both wine grapes and table grapes.
Today, the 45-acre Sperling Vineyard, includes a 45 year-old planting of Maréchal Foch, a 35 year-old planting of Riesling and another old planting of Perle of Csaba (a Muscat variety,) along with Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris. In the spring of 2008, blocks of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were planted to support the production of premium sparkling wines.
Ann Sperling , who was born in 1962,
began her winemaking career in 1984, first with Andrés Wines and
then with CedarCreek Estate Winery. She moved to Ontario in 1995
where she helped launch several stellar wineries. She and Peter Gamble,
her husband, now consult internationally. Their British Columbia clients
include Sperling Vineyards, nearby Camelot Vineyards and Clos du
Soleil Winery in the Similkameen.
The family did not open their winery until 2009 This small, premium winery
completes the Casorso legacy.
Sperling Vineyards. Ann had to get two licenses. The one with the tasting room and a small vineyard is Sperling. The production facility is in the main vineyard, some distance from the tasting room, and she had to get a second license for that. She called it Magpie Cellars because of the birds in the trees there.
