Lano d'or is a family vineyard located in Lanoraie in the Lanaudière region. The enchanting site on the edge of the St. Lawrence River has a magnificent terrace The winery is managed by Bruno Méril, supported by his wife Carine Billon-Piriat and 2 shareholders, Yannick and Dominique.

Bruno is described as a happy, fulfilled man who lives a dream and wants to share his passion for wines and good cuisine.

Born in France in 1972, he studied for 5 years in the best hotel schools in France, including an additional sommelier mention where he ended up best student sommelier in France during the Chapoutier Competition.

He began his career alongside Paul Léaunard, owner of the Côte de bœuf and the vineyard embassy in Marseille (France) then holder of one of the largest wine lists in the world and became Vice-Champion of France for young people. sommeliers (Ruinart Trophy).

Five years later, he moved to Luxembourg with his family for 15 years to discover an international market and the Luxembourg vineyards, then in full expansion. His career took off with numerous awards including Best Sommelier of Luxembourg, Semi-finalist of the World Sommelier Championships, Master of Port (2nd).

The restaurant he took over 10 years earlier with his wife obtained the record for the largest wine list in the world in the Guinness Book and he became involved with the sommelier community by becoming for a few years president of the Luxembourg sommeliers. . He also becomes Master Sommelier of Luxembourg.

In 2011, he obtained the prestigious title of best sommelier worker in France.

In 2013, ready to take on new challenges and fell in love with Quebec, he moved to our beautiful province with his sweetheart and his four daughters.

Today, the Lano d'or vineyard is a project and a dream that Bruno and his family want to propel among the jewels of Quebec.
