Langley, BC V2Z 1K3

The last three times I visited one of Langley's oldest wines township 7 the weather was perfect and we enjoyed the outside seating on the deck. This time the weather was rather cold and wet so inside I went. I arrived five minutes before opening time and was surprised to find the door open and a warm friendly greeting awaited me.
I was invited to sit down on very comfortable couch and relax.

Once seated the tasting experience began. We began with two sparkling wines. First was the 2019 seven star Polaris It was a traditional method wine with lots of fizzle. Producing flavours of fresh fruit
The next sparkling wine was 2019 seven star Sirius crafted in the traditional Méthode Champenoise style, the wine undergoes a secondary fermentation or prise de mousse. I really enjoyed this wine.
The presentation of the wines was excellent. My host was very charming and explained the wines quite well.
Among my flavours were 2019 Cabernet Franc and 2020 Merlot.
The Cabernet Franc starts with a very nice aroma of Black raspberry, strawberry with hints of Carmel. The flavours follow through to a silky finish.
The Merlot exhibits soft tannins with flavours of red cherry and vanilla.
You must put Township 7 on your list of wineries to visit.
