Paul Speck is part of a six-generation lineage that has farmed the land in the Short Hills Bench of Niagara since the late 18th century. Paul and his brothers began planting vines on the family farm in 1984 while still teenagers. Their early hands-on experience laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to winemaking
Paul is the President and CEO of Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery.
As President, Paul oversees the winery’s operations, marketing, and strategic direction. He’s known for his vibrant personality—often spotted in colorful shirts—and his passion for wine, music, and sports.
Paul is deeply committed to sustainability and authenticity in winemaking. Under his leadership, Henry of Pelham became one of the first Ontario wineries to be certified sustainable, emphasizing environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Matthew is the Director of Viticulture
overseeing the vineyard operations, ensuring that the grapes grown on the estate’s Short Hills Bench property meet the winery’s high standards for quality and sustainability.
He has been instrumental in implementing environmentally responsible practices, including water conservation, soil health, and biodiversity initiatives. Under his guidance, Henry of Pelham became one of the first Ontario wineries to be certified sustainable
Matthew has helped shape the winery’s approach to cool-climate viticulture, focusing on varietals like Baco Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay that thrive in Niagara’s terroir.

Daniel is primarily involved in sales, marketing, and brand strategy, helping to shape the public image and commercial success of the winery’s diverse portfolio.
He has been instrumental in launching and managing multiple wine brands under the Speck Bros. umbrella, including Sibling Rivalry, Family Tree, and House Wine Co.,
He is president ofFamily Wine Merchants a leading Canadian wine, beer, and spirits agency that represents independent producers from around the world
