Kamloops is about 170 Km north west of Kelowna.
The winemaker. vineyard manger and everything else is Doug Woods. Dough has planted 17 different grape varieties in the vineyard. Prior to making wines Dough was a doctor. Shelly runs the tasting room and will delight you with her stories.
We are committed to environmentally conscious practices in our vineyard and winery. We take a whole vineyard/whole winery approach to sustainability. This includes vineyard landscaping, irrigation practices and labour practices. Our low-impact viticultural practices includes drip-fed irrigation.
We take an organic approach to our vineyard management that includes mulching and composting of our grape skins once harvest and the crush occurs. Our integrated pest management involves barrier methods such as high-level deer fencing to decrease conflict with our local wildlife (deer, bear, mountain sheep etc). We rely on netting to deter birds in our vineyard. Our wines are delivered to retail outlets via our electric vehicle. Doug and I believe that sustainable winegrowing reaches from soil to shelf.
