Ruby Blues Winery, possibly the funkiest small boutique winery on the stunningly beautiful Naramata bench in the South Okanagan.

The winery and wines seems to reflect the personalities of the winery’s owners, Prudence and Beat Mahrer. Prudence and Beat where the original founders of Red Rooster winery. Red Rooster was a very successfully winery produce some fine wines. It attract the attention of Andrew Peller Ltd who purchased the winery. Red Rooster actually had two locations on the bench. They out grew their first location building the new Red Rooster winery we know today.

However there is a song:

The key line here is "Catch your dream before they fade away".

The Mahres could not resist the urge to remain in the winery business. So in 2007 they built their third winery, Ruby Blues Winery. Originally called Ruby Tuesday but due to copy-rites they had to change the name.

Prudence maybe the driving force behind the winery she loves to work in the vineyard and enjoys meeting visitors to the winery.
