Featured Winemaker
Izabela Muzzin
Izabela Muzzin is the winemaker at her family winery Aleksander Estate located in Ruthven, Ontario on Lake Erine North Shore. For the Bemben family, Aleksander Estate Winery is the connection that brings family, friends, spirit, food and drink together. Being in the wine industry for over 30 years, Alex, wife Genny, daughter Izabela and son Lukasz create an environment where team work is fundamental.
Izabela is a grape grower, winemaker, sommelier but wine enthusiast first and foremost. She grown up in the Lake Erie North Shore wine industry and have been involved with, and studying wine from a young age.
AEW mission is to represent the Quality Local Wine Culture of the Lake Erie North Shore. Most of the wines are made from rapes are grown in their own vineyard which is nestled atop one of the highest points in the county. The five acre vineyard is home to five grape varieties including Riesling, Vidal, Cabernet Sauvingnon, Cabernet Franc and Chambourcin.
