Church and State

Vancouver Island

Here is where it all began for the wines of Church & State located just outside of Victoria in Brentwood Bay Opened May 2003 , as Victoria Estates and described by noted author John Schreiner as One of the five best-designed wineries in British Columbia. The winery was sold in 2005 to Kim Pullen who has made some major changes to the winery creating an even more amazing winery to visit.

A second location was opened in the Okanagan where their award winning wines are produced called Coyote Bowl

A Bistro with a veranda is busy with tourists

We chose seats in the middle of the large U shaped tasting bar. Here we had the please of been served by not one but three very charming ladies. Thanks to all for a most enjoyable tasting experience of some every memorable wines. One of the reasons we had three ladies awaiting on us the first girl went to greet the tour bus with a glass a wine. Make sure you visit Church and State.

The winery has an amazing cellar of fine wines produced by winemaker Jeff Del Nin
I believe we tasted thirteen wines. Starting with the 2102 Estate Pinot Gris with a nice aroma, crisp and refreshing with notes of pear. We finished with one of BC's most outstanding wines the 2009 Quintesstial it awaken the taste sensation to a whole new embodiment of delightfully flavours. Please see Robert's Selection's
