Our Goal for Saturday - relaxation! How would we achieve that? The simple answer was to visit Festina Lente Estate Winery in Langley with our friend Ken and Jane. At the time we did not know just how enjoyable the visit would be. Perfection awaited.

We were barley inside the door when co-owner and General Manager Teresa Townsley greeted us. How quickly she made us feel welcome. We were also warmly greeted by her staff Dale and Valerie. Both long term and very dedicated employees that will make your visit a most pleasant experience.

Festina Lente Estate Winery specializes in producing premium honey wines - MEAD! " Festina Lente" is Latin for "Make Haste Slowly" and reflecting the care and pride that the owners take in their sophisticated and timeless wines. This accurately reflects their philosophy of taking the time to accomplish things with diligence the first time and the pride that we take in simple things done well. Their farm is a 5-acre hobby farm situated in Langley, British Columbia's wine region. Teresa and her husband Bill purchased the forested house and land without even a stick of fencing surrounding it in 2010. Little did they know that building their lives here would not only be the most physically demanding project they have ever done, but the most rewarding as well!

The winery features numerous events specially in the warmer month . Each weekend in 2025 "Swing by the winery for an afternoon of sweet sips and soulful sounds as we bring live music to the heart of our hive!"

Recording artist Jana Seale indeed has a soft silky voice.

We relaxed on the patio enjoyed the music, the mead and chatted with Bill and Teressa. It was the best of times We enjoyed a Tasting with Dale and ate some Nachos. Now I do not remember all the meads we tasted but every one of them was amazing such flavours. Festvm a Mojito was one to remember. Also try their off dry Quince Atalanta Melomel and the Juno Melomel with its lovely pear flavours.

Sadly one of my favourite the Bacchus Pyment was sold out.. Luckily I was giving a number of bottles at Christmas from my dear wife.

This is a winery that knows how to make you feel special, supports their community, and makes fantastic meads. They provide that feeling of relaxation and happiness we all deserve.
