Throughout Canada wineries seem to feel there is a need
to join together and form various organizations and or associations.
Some of the associations are:
British Columbia
Wine Island Vintners Association
A marketing association open to all licensed wineries,
meaderies and cideries on Vancouver Island and surrounding islands
of British Columbia
Naramata Bench Association
The Naramata Bench runs along
the east side of Lake Okanagan immediately north of Penticton. There
are over 20 wineries here
Association of British Columbia Winegrowers
Called the Hidden Wineries of BC.
Most of a members are small, family owned and operate wineries with their own
vineyards surrounding them, all truly committed to making premium wine
from 100% BC fruit
Fraser Valley Wineries Association
The 12 wineries of the Fraser Valley Wineries Association are located just outside of Vancouver
South Okanagan Winery Association
Currently undergoing a name change. Represents wineries in the southern desert region of the Okanagan Valley of BC
Similkameen Wineries
Wineries of British Columbia's Similkameen
Ontario
Prince Edward County Wine Growers Association
On the opposite side of the Lake from Niagara-on-the-Lake. Click here for wineries
Southwestern Ontario Vintners Association
A collection of eleven wineries in the Lake
Erie North Shore/Pelee Island region of
Essex County. The area offers a "unique maritime climate" ideal for luscious vineyards
Ontario Grape Growers Association
Ontario Wine Society
The Ontario Wine Society is a non-profit organization founded
in 1991 that celebrates the exploration of Ontario wines, through
informal, enjoyable and educational tastings and special events.
Currently, there are two chapters, one serving the Toronto area and
the other serving the Niagara Peninsula area.
