For several years, Mike posted wine videos on a site that was known as Wine Garage TV …
At the heart of what we do is a genuine love for people. Farming and crafting our wines is simply our way of contributing to that experience.
How they Chose their name We wanted something completely unique, just like our vineyard. The goal is that when people think of the word Emandare, they associate it with this place or this wine. ( It’s also our initials, Mike & Robin = M and R = Em-and-are) Pronounced Em/and/air
Wine is grown, not made.” We are firm believers that being responsible stewards of our land is what creates and captures the quality of our delicious, terroir-driven wines.
In 2020 Robin and Mike added a guest house.
Wines are produced on a premium piece of land perfectly suited for grape growing. They are 100% estate grown, organically farmed, dry farmed and the vinification is allowed to take place naturally without commercial yeasts and other additives that dictate a recipe. This low intervention approach is what allows the transparency of each vintage to shine through the honest expression of each of their unique terroir-driven wines.
Recommends wines are their Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. The Siegerrebe - Gewurtraminer 2017 is also very good. Their bend of Marechal Foch and Cabernet Foch is also highly rated.
